A 5-day immersive painting workshop hosted by Warren Hardy in
the Palace of the Arts — a light-filled studio in the
heart of a UNESCO heritage town.

A Calm Learning Oasis
The Warren Hardy campus is a private compound — a
beautiful, calm learning oasis in the National Heritage
Town of San Miguel de Allende.
Warren — himself a painter and life-long lover of
the arts and learning — has added a stunning,
fully equipped studio to his campus. The space is full
of natural sunlight with high ceilings, concrete floors,
excellent lighting, a slop sink, easels, tables, a
kitchen, and a convenient restroom.
Students are welcome to use the beautiful outdoor spaces
of the compound, and the hilltop setting affords
brilliant views over the city.

— as well as her fourth painting workshop in San
Miguel de Allende. Additional workshops include the

5 Days. Color, Composition, Confidence.
In this intensive 5-day workshop, students will learn
all about color usage, mixing, and application. A
successful painting is rooted in good composition and
thoughtful color — we will explore color
relationships, how to balance your compositions, color
strength and weakness, and why
scale and placement matter so much.
Using opaque water-based paints, students construct a
series of small non-representative paintings —
each a separate learning exercise tackling a specific
aspect of color and composition.
The course includes a color theory review, lecture,
downloadable handouts, demonstrations, and critique.
